APPRAISALS

A jewelry appraisal is a very important document for your valuable pieces of jewelry. It often times is your only protection when your items are lost, stolen, or damaged. An appraisal ensures that your items are thoroughly evaluated, described and valued so that in case of a loss you will receive proper compensation. Owner, Thomas Vanater, is a Graduate Gemologist. He received this designation through studies with the Gemological Institute of America. He has since studied with the American Society of Appraisers and is a member of the National Association of Jewelry Appraisers. Cassandra Moore has worked at Nabers Jewelers for over 15 years. She is a Master Valuer and is furthering her studies with the Gemological Institute of America, having already completed the Diamonds Program.

In addition to their education, their appraisal skills are enhanced by the comprehensive Gem Lab on premises. It includes the latest model of the Gemolite Gemscope and a recently developed computerized colorimeter. The colorimeter is able to objectively grade a diamonds color. This Gem Lab allows us to produce more complete descriptions and values for the items being appraised.
